I think Kickstarter only applies to art related projects, and this site is hardly an art related site by any strech of the imagination. We could, in theory, give all administrative power to the mods and have the site funded by donations from members. The biggest challenge then would be raising the $75 for the first two years, since we only have abouth three months to come up with it. After that, keeping the site up and running shouldn't be too hard. Or we could put ads on our site to generate revenue to keep it going. There are possibilities.

Honestly, $75 is not a lot of money.

BUT I think that it also goes under your name right Frank? So, what I THINK that means is that people may be able to see what exactly you're involved with when it comes to a background check.

I honestly have no idea whether my involvement with this site would come up under a background check. The real issue is that because of this site's subject matter and demographics, it has the potential to cross the line into illegality without careful monitoring, which I am losing the desire to do. Thus, I don't want my name associated with it as an owner.

I'm willing to pay at least a portion of that 75. Have no desire to administer the site though.

EDIT: On second thought, it would almost be worth it just to see Andrew's reaction if I told him I was in charge of the site now.

But no, I really don't want to take over the site.

I honestly would like to buy the site, but life would stop me from committing to keeping it running, and frankly I would want to change some policies that would unintentionally alienate some users in an attempt to keep things more legal. I think if I was going to run a wedgie site, I'd want something smaller, easier to manage, and with a higher age limit of about 16+. I'd also probably be much more strict about people having poor attitudes.

I'd also have ad revenue if possible, simply because I like the idea of making money off of the internet.

Honestly, we're probably going to have to do some sort of team approach with multiple moderators rather than having adminship be a one-man operation.

Triumvirate seems ideal to me. $25 each should be no problem at all, three people to split admin duties. Three will be ideal since there won't be a tie vote between them and any larger than three starts getting unwieldly. I think Awesomest Pwner would make an excellent candidate, I'm willing to step forward as well. If we get one more trustworthy person in for this then we have a plan.

I had not considered the possibility of a multi-person partnership running the site. In such an event, I would be willing to stay on as a co-administrator. I am also definitely willing to re-examine the site's policies.

I like the idea of a multi-person partnership running the site. Like Subtle said, it would be easier to pay for the site if the cost were split between three people, and it's also a bit more democratic since there are more people making the decisions. In any event, I hope this site stays up for a long time.

I think I like the idea of add revenue for the site. I mean, why not, I wouldn't mind adds if the site/admins got money from it
